Hi, this is Pratik. I'm a game designer with about 3 years of experience in the mobile games industry. Welcome to my portfolio. I would like you to explore my site to get a better understanding of my specialties, techniques and professional experience. GAME DESIGN PROJECTS

ICEBOUND LEGACY: JOURNEY OF THE ARCTIC

Personal project made for my final dissertation at Kingston University.

Work in progress*
3rd person RPG fantasy adventure based on polar bears and exploration of sea ice. Explore battle of the polar bear clans "Urtus" and "Maritimus" to reign superior in Arctic and simultaneously stopping the evil plans of a politician who has his eyes set on the rich oil present underneath the sea ice.

ORBS GAME

Personal project based on orbs collection with simple platformer level design. 

Aim is to avoid obstacles and collect 3 orbs by going around the platform and reaching the end of the level to move forward to the next.

Created the game based on blueprints in Unreal Engine 4.

WORK AT ACIES

An AR based action-adventure game based on Indian mythology. 

Player has to navigate around the map in real world and once they spot asuras (demons), they have to capture them with by engaging in a duel. To capture weapons, player has to collect astras (weapons) by playing mini-games including meditation, moral conscience, learning about astras and asuras. 

Worked as a solo game developer and was part of the creative design and art team for the prototype. Created the demo with Unity and C# for programming.

ROBOMONKS

A 3rd person RPG setup on a post-apocalyptic world.

Players take the roles of monks and get matched with players having similar quest/mission level and engage in a duel with cyber demons and rival gang members. 

Worked as a game and level designer on a group project consisting of 2 programmers and 2 designers.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN

Personal project for level design made on Unreal Engine 4 with textures and materials from "Soul:Cave".

Worked on cinematics, fog, lighting, sculpting.

AR DI YEARBOOK 2018-19

A fun project for class yearbook made with Unity and Wikitude. 

Worked as a solo developer and used each persons image from their snapchat then created image targets for videos and images in Unity using wikitude.

AR HOME EXPERIENCE

Class group project for Digital Studio project based on accessing Postal museum at home.

Many tourists visit the postal museum every year, but due to COVID and later museum has seen comparatively less visitors. This project is an attempt to let people know the relevance of beloved letters that anyone can access from home.

As a technical game designer, worked in Unity to create markerless AR for the quests designed. Worked with UX designers and animators to create the app.

BIO

This is Pratik. I have 3+ years of experience working in the gaming industry with 2 years of professional experience in game design and close to 10 months working as a full stack game developer.

I have recently completed my masters in game development (design) at kingston university and will be graduating this september. I have also completed my post graduaton at ISDI Parsons, Mumbai in Design and Innovation and have projects ranging from systems design to product design and UX design. I have completed projects both personal and for my postgraduation and masters in AR and IoT.

Always been passionate about gaming and my favorite genres include action adventure RPGs, indie games, gameplay and art heavy games. My major focus is on game design documentation, storytelling, character design, gameplay mechanics and player progression but I am also interested in game economy, sound and audio design and UX for games.
